My name is Seth, and I aspire to spend my life creating and designing. I recieved a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and recently graduated with a masters degree from Brown University and RISD's new Master of Arts in Design Engineering (MADE) program in which I explored the intersection of design and engineering through interdisciplinary teaming. My diverse background including mechanical design, entrepreneurship, design thinking, and embedded system electronics affords me the ability to approach challenges with different perspectives. Feel free to check out my resume below. Cheers.
As a recent graduate, I already have a catalog of transformative work-experiences including co-op experience in the new product development department at Sub-Zero Refrigeration in Madison, Wisconsin, an internship at a industrial design studio in Tel Aviv, Israel, and another at a small product development firm working on COVID-relief efforts also in Madison. I approach my work with a willingness to learn, a fun and friendly attitude, and a "yes, and" mindset. At Brown & RISD, I worked on a multitude of design projects on interdisciplinary teams in my masters program. I am quickly learning how to work effectively with people with diverse backgrounds, and how to ensure our new systems and products will not only work, but will fit in their intended system and are actually designed for real humans.
When I'm not grinding schoolwork, you can find me playing sax in Brown's jazz band (find me at the 1:21:00 mark!), baking challah bread for charity, or playing tennis. From schoolwork to personal goals, I always strive to be the best version of myself. I am currently searching for a full-time position or internship in the fields of mechanical design, product development, HVAC, or renewable energy. Any questions? Reach out to me!
